About the Journal
Journal of Government and Social Issues (JGSI) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by the Department of Government Studies, the University of Lampung. Until recently, the research that focuses on governments and social issues is dominantly analysed using a single perspective.
Nowadays, the fundamental problem of governments across the globe is that they are still unable to provide good public services for their people. To be blunt, a lack of leadership quality and capacity have contributed to the government’s inability to do so, especially in the patronage democratic countries. JGGSI aims to provide a multidisciplinary-based publication for local and international researchers, especially for those who are interested in government and social issues.
JGSI’s first publication is in December 2021 and it is published twice a year, in June and December.
